Excursion / Study tour

Nabadwip, Nadia, June 8, 2022 :- An educational excursion was organized by the department of computer science along with department of mathematics , Nabadwip Vidyasagar College from 1st June to 5^th June 2022 to visit the beauty of the Northern Part of West Bengal. The tour comprised students of BSc Mathematics (Hons) and students of Bsc Computer Science (Hons) accompanied by all the faculty members of the Department of Mathematics and Prof. Nimisha Ray, Faculty of Computer Science. All the students were directed to gather at waiting room of Nabadwip Dham Railway Station at 3 pm, 01/06/2022. Principal of the college, Dr. Swapan Kumar Roy, wished all the students best and safe journey.

We started our journey at 4:15 pm from Nabadwip Dham Railway Station by TEESTA TORSHA Express and reached NJP Railway Station by 2:30 am of June 2. By 12 noon the facilities of Sherpha’s Homestay warmly welcome us. We were taken to the Homestay. On the way of Homestay we had seen many places of Sittong (Mongpo, Chuchay Dhunga, Aahal Dara, Namthing Pokhri Lake etc. ). Then we reached Sherpha’s Homestay, a very beautiful place surrounded by mountains.

Second day we visited some beautiful places of Darjeeling one by one (Batasia Loop, Rock Garden Waterfall, Ghum Railway Station, Ghum Monestry, Chauk Bazar etc.) and we also visited Darjeeling Himalayan Railway. Then we reached The Journey’s Hotel and restaurant and stayed there that night.

Third day at morning we visited the Darjeeling Railway station, a World Heritage area. We checked out from the hotel by 8 am and then visited the Mirik Lake. After this we came back to Nabadwip.

Totally this was an amazing experience for all of us. Hope this Educational tour enriches us and will help for future. We all enjoyed the tour and took group photographs. We all had safe and enjoyable journey with lots of information.
