According to francis Bacon,”Travelling is a part of education. An excursion is not just a pleasure trip; it enhances the knowledge of the students beyond the four walls of the classroom.” To provide such an experience to students, Department of English of Nabadwip Vidyasagar College organised two days excursion to Digha.

On 21st January, 2019 we started our train journey from Nabadwip in the morning and almost in the evening we reached the Digha station. We stayed in a hotel near New Digha Sea beach. On that evening we went to take a look of old Digha sea beach. Some of us were very much excited to see the sea beach for the First time.

On the second day, we went for the Talsari beach and it was a beautiful beach far from the crowd where Subarnarekha river meets the sea. We enjoyed a boat ride there but due to low tide we had to return through walking but surely it was an awesome moment and funny too. And also there were lots of red crabs welcoming us. Along with the crabs, the colorful sea shells were also there. Completing our lunch we moved for the Digha Science Museum which was full with physics theories and Jurassic park models, 3D cinema, Tesla coil, Mirror room and some other scientific models. And Finally on that night, we enjoyed the New Digha beach and had our dinner with a pinch of sea food. On the last day of our tour we went for Digha Mohana in the very early morning .The soothing and becalming nature of the beach really filled our mind with freshness and energy. We ended up visiting the large fish market which was definitely a matter of interest. Finally we returned home loaded with knowledge and happiness.
