Department of Philosophy Nabadwip Vidyasagar College

The Department of Philosophy has a rich collection of valuable books in the Departmental Library as well as in the Central Library. The Department has a steady flow of students. Every year we organize departmental student’s Seminar, publish yearly wall-magazine “Dishari” with the help of our students and we also organize a parent-teacher meet every year, though response of guardians are inadequate. At present though the department has an adverse student – teacher ratio (i.e. shortage of teaching staff) we are trying to pursue quality teaching by creating meaning and relevance in teaching learning situation with limited resources. If there is a whole hearted cooperation among the students and the teachers an educational tour can be arranged with departmental students also.
