National Service Scheme (NSS)
Nabadwip Vidyasagar College
Nabadwip Vidyasagar College is committed to perform all the social services assigned under the National Service Scheme. We have organized several camps including the special camp within our limitation to inculcate the societal norms, values, morality and responsibility towards society among the young students group. We are very thankful to our funding organization.
During our special camp at Swarupganj Gram Panchayat of Nadia district located very close to our college, our team has enthusiastically propagated awareness on three themes. These are on pollution/danger of use of plastic bags, malnutrition and financial awareness. For general camp our team have conducted a cleanliness camp at a slum area which is within 5 k.m. of our college. We have developed a herbal garden under the NSS banner within our college premises. An AIDs awareness program is also conducted. Needless to say that we have tried our best to perform our value-based social responsibilities to reach the people with the help of NSS within our limited resources. It may be small with respect to the larger society but it can’t be ignored. Hope these small steps will certainly bring sea-change in future. We will continue our program with more enthusiasm in coming days.
