INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION 15th August 2018:
In accordance with history, custom and the noble love for the motherland, the college celebrated the day of national independence on 15.08.2018. All the stakeholders of the institution came together for this grand event on the college-campus. The inauguration ceremony was attended by the teachers, students and non-teaching staff and it was a grand event in all respects. Sri Biman Krishna Saha, honorable president of the governing body hoisted the national flag and gave a rousing speech. The contribution of the martyrs and the common people was discussed by the students on their part. The programme was concluded with a heartfelt rendition of the national anthem.
NCC Day celebration,2018:
One of the main pillars of Nabadwip Vidyasagar College is the college unit of the national cadet Corps, led by the dynamic ANO, Lieutenant Dr. Akhil Sarkar. Therefore, the NCC Day is celebrated in the college on the fourth Sunday of November each year with great honour and dedication. This year it was celebrated on 25th November. A grand program was organized to celebrate the day in all its glory. The program was inaugurated by and Dr. Akhil Sarkar in his illuminating speech chalked out he role of the NCC in the institution and the society. The cadets paid their tribute to the national flag and gave a number of performances.
Netaji Subhas Birth Anniversary 23rd January 2019
On the 23rd of January,2019 the college celebrated the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose with due respect and reverence. The program was organized on the college campus in the presence of the teachers, students, and non-teaching staff. On this auspicious day, the National Flag was hoisted by the respected President of the Governing Body, Sri Biman Krishna Saha, at 9.00 a.m. in the presence of the teachers, students, and other local dignitaries. The National Anthem and the NCC song were sung out with reverence. A total of 115 NCC cadets were selected to participate in the program.
26th of January, 2019 – Republic Day Celebration
In a grand gesture of love for the motherland, on the 26th of January,2019 the college and its populace stood together on the college premises to celebrate the Republic-day. The respected President of the Governing Body, Sri Biman Krishna Saha hoisted the National Flag at 9.30 a.m. in presence of the teachers and students of the college. He elucidated unto all the significance of this magnificent day in glowing words. Dr Akhil Sarkar(ANO) rendered a short speech too. Everyone came together to sing the National Anthem. More than 150 NCC cadets graced the occasion with their presence.
Tree Plantation Day – 21st March 2019
In order to maintain the sanctity of our natural habitat and to paint the world in verdant, Tree Plantation-day is observed with great enthusiasm and vigor. The year 2019 was no exception. On the NCC cadets of Nabadwip Vidyasagar College joined hands with the teacher and student populace to observe and celebrate that very day. The day before was spent on cleaning the campus and the adjacent garden. On the auspicious day the students, led by the NCC cadets went about their task of planting saplings and assuring them protection from natural and man-made harm.
International Yoga-day: 21st June 2019
The wisdom of the ancients lights up the way for future generations. To celebrate that very adage, International Yoga Day. The observation and program were led and orchestrated by the NCC cadets of Nabadwip Vidyasagar College along with the students and faculty. A short introduction to yoga and its benefits was elucidated by eminent speakers. Live demonstrations were given and the instructions for safe practice was also laid out for the participants.
